Sorry, not to be a jerk, but that trigger block looks horrendous. As others have stated, get a good holster and you should be good to go. I carry IWB either with an Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 2.0 (great holster) or a DeSantis Inside Heat.
I, personally, don't know how anyone pocket carries. It seems like that would be magnitudes more uncomfortable than IWB or OWB. That's just my $.02...

You aren't a jerk...well...at least your comment isn't evidence, IMHO, of you being a jerk.TexasJohnBoy wrote:Sorry, not to be a jerk, but that trigger block looks horrendous. As for pocket carry...When I purchased the CM9, it seemed very small...until I stuck it in my pocket inside this holster. Maybe the Kahr 380 or an LCP would be more comfortable.
I also thought, when I purchased the CM9, that I'd be comfortable carrying it that way because of the long trigger pull. In my head, I was saying, "at least it's not one of those Sigs that you would carry cocked and locked." But, now I'm questioning myself a little and wondering if it's safe enough in the Superfly and if there's anything more I should be doing to make it even safer. Most people don't seem to want a safety on a DA or striker-fired CCW. I'm beginning to think that I might be one of the exceptions, and have found myself perusing the M&P9c w/safety and even the Bersa Thunder 9 UC.
I think I'll try to carry around the house for the next few weeks. I'll keep the chamber clear, but rack it before I insert the mag. Then, at the end of the day, when I clear it, if it's still "cocked" then I'm good, right?

Thanks for the suggestions. The kydex pocket holster I was looking at was smooth on one side, but formed on the other. Do you find that having it formed to the gun on both sides prints a lot or does it just look like an indistinguishable lump anyway?Excaliber wrote:If you want a safe pocket holster that won't move around and won't come out with the gun, take a look at the one I use: FIST Pocket Holster.
The Mika pocket holster is another well known solid design, but I don't have any personal experience with that one.

LOL. The first thing I thought was...mirror or lefty? Thanks for showing me your setup. I do think I can get away with a single clip, but then again I don't really have a point of reference yet.Wag2323 wrote:I have a alien gear IWB that is pretty comfortable but doesn't go on and off that quickly. I wouldn't think you would need something that big for a CM9 I originally bought this to carry my Springfield XD IWB if I wanted to.SMRoot wrote: Which holster do you use, and how do you like it?
I also have a Cook's kydex IWB holster with a single clip. You can't tuck in your shirt with it but it goes on and off easy without removing the gun from it.
When the gun is loaded it stays in the kydex holster all the time except for when I move it to the alien gear when I am carrying it that way. The pictures are not backwards, I am. (Lefty)

I think formed on one side is better.SMRoot wrote:Thanks for the suggestions. The kydex pocket holster I was looking at was smooth on one side, but formed on the other. Mine looks like a wallet in the pocket.
