RD Warren holster review

Post by Soccerdad1995 »

I got this holster a couple weeks ago and have been carrying it daily since then. I absolutely love everything about this holster. It is beautiful, carries the gun nice and close and is not expensive. I work in a non-gun friendly location so I have to take my holster on and off multiple times a day. The design is perfect for that. Even easier than a paddle holster, without worrying about the paddle holster's tendency to hold the gun far from my body.

The holster and double mag pouch cost less than a plain holster from the bigger names (a total of $165). The guy who makes this holster is retired, and works on one at a time. You don't order from his web site. Instead, you send him an e-mail and he asks exactly what you want. He was reluctant to take my order until he was sure he could get started on my holster because he didn't want to have me wait more than 2-3 weeks. I paid him when he cut the leather for the holster and I had it in hand about a week later. Everything about this guy is refreshingly good.

Holster shown here with my Dan Wesson Guardian and 2 full size mags.

That's a beautiful rig and almost identical to the one I got from Randy. I just got my second Warren holster and there will be more. Randy is an artist!

Is it bad that I am trying to find a way to justify getting some more holsters from him? I am really regretting the holsters that I have long ago bought for all my other guns. Surely I need a back-up for my other 1911 sizes, and my Glocks........

Every honest God-fearing man needs multiple holsters for each gun. One is for work, one for business casual events and one for formal dinners, weddings and funerals. So no, you're not the least bit "bad."

"Bad" is good when it comes to gear.

Very nice setup. :cheers2:

I had Mr. Warren build a holster for my G19 and I absolutely love it. He was super easy to deal with and his product shows the type of person that he is. I WILL DEFINITELY BE ORDERING FROM HIM AGAIN IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

Ditto! Top notch quality on my holster. Super easy to work with...he made me a single and dual mag holder.
