3rd grader remarks that they are serving "brownies" at the end of the year school party. Police are called, parents are both called, case referred to Children's Protective Services.
Mom remarks "who was even offended".
We have gotten to the point that offensive speech is illegal, now we are calling the police for vague references to less than offensive speech. All speech should be free.
As long as government employees are not punished for violating our constitutional rights, and have no fear of doing it, these rights are just a feel good pretend story.
