A generation of "firsts"
Within the last decade, it seems that we've become a nation obsessed with appointing the "first" (black, woman, latino, gay, etc.) person to a high position, (president, justice, general, etc.,) just for the sake of doing. I'm not saying that someone from any of these backgrounds is incapable. I am saying that the clamoring to make it happen ASAP has clouded the process, and almost certainly the right person for the job is being overlooked in lieu of the socially expedient. At this rate, we'll soon run out of "firsts", then maybe it will be out of our system so to speak. I just pray that no irreparable damage is done in the name of social justice.

We'll never run out of firsts.
I am not a lawyer. This is NOT legal advice.!

Would HRC be the first actual criminal elected POTUS?
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

Re: A generation of "firsts"
All the talk of "firsts" is a distractionary tactic used by the left. It creates an image of progress, forward thinking, and achievement while avoiding very serious failure like the massive national debt, social security sliding into bankruptcy, dismal employment participation numbers, and I could go on and on...hey look, another first!
The left also loves to champion notable firsts, only when it helps them gain political power. The party normally obsessed with race and gender, never cried "first" when Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and Bobby Jindal were making their presidential runs, as the Democrats were pushing three old white people. Anytime the media and left are noting the "first" something, it is to try and guilt you into not looking behind the curtain.
