Hollow points

Post by Stormvet »

Okay gurus. Where is the best place to buy 9mm 124g hollow points for practice and carry. I'm not talking top of the line +p ammo for home defense. I'm talking bout bulk hollow points to practice with plus carry on the farm for varmints on the evening walk. Thanks again.

I guess I'm missing something. Why practice with HPs instead of less expensive FMJ?

:iagree: Especially if the hollow points aren't your SD carry ammo.

You just saved me some money. I was about to place an order for 1000 rounds of .40 and these prices are a fair bit better than where I normally buy.

Thanks! :tiphat:

By practicing with what you carry you know how you & your weapon will react.... felt recoil, feeding, cycling, that sort of
info is important if you are fighting for your or your loved ones life.

He says right in the OP that he is not talking about practicing with premium HP SD (carry)ammo, so whats the point?

He talked about practice and carry.
I do not know, nor do I think anyone else knows either, when something will happen that will put my or a loved ones life at risk.
I, personally, want to know how my weapon will respond to the ammunition that is in the weapon at the time I'm carrying it. I
will not take that kind of chance w my own life nor that of someone I love. Maybe you don't feel the same way, that would be
another of those personal choices that we all make throughout life.

I generally burn up the carry ammo in the gun when I get to the range, then switch to FMJ. It lets me 1) rotate my carry ammo and 2) keeps me familiar with how my carry ammo acts in my gun...
