Don't terrorists usually go for something a bit bigger than a random birthday party, and with means a bit more dramatic than a fire started in the basement? The linked article almost makes it sound like the people only died because nobody noticed the fire in time.

I mean, maybe it's part of some new "anywhere two or more are gathered..." kind of terrorism, but based on what the Mirror's reporting, it seems far more likely that this is just a tragic accident.

Sounds like the same deadly plastic foam used in sound booths was on the walls and ceiling. The Station Club fire in RI that killed so many had this same stuff on the ceiling.

Ironic as it sounds apparently the birthday cake was lit up stairs and and was brought down the only exit stair where the person tripped with the cake, lighting this material on the walls which then caught fire blocking the only exit out of the basement bar.
