Signage posted at retired living
Today I dropped off a friend at his apartment, which is a retirement living facility. It is not assisted living or a nursing home. But both 30-06 and 30-07 signs are recently posted at the entrance to the building. I can't imagine that this is legal because these are simply apartments. Can anyone help me verify if the management is in the wrong?
Re: Signage posted at retired living
I would think it would mean that he could carry between his car and apartment, but not just wandering around the common areas.

Re: Signage posted at retired living
I know if a few places owned by Disciple Homes that post their properties. A resident can carry to and from their apartment but it supposed to keep visitors from carrying. I asked about why they post signs and they said it's a requirement from HUD, a federal organization.

Dreamer42 ,
What is a retirement living facility?
Federally subsidized housing for the indigent elderly or ...?
Thanks!

Most, if not all, are retired/elderly. He does not have LTC, but I visit every week or so. Would I be in violation if I go to his apartment, and I have his permission to carry? The residence is under his control, is it not?
