I need some clarification on if I am eligible now or do I need to wait longer on getting my CHL's. Here's my situation. I was at the wrong place at the wrong time, but that's neither here or there. I was arrested on 10/10/08 for a possession of a controlled substance = 1>1<4 g and was sentenced on 12/19/08 to deferred adjudication probation for 5 years. After about 2 1/2 years I was released early for fulfilling are the requirements. As of today 9/23/16 I still have no other engagements, with that being said I am unclear if I am eligible or do I have more time I have to wait for? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
