MOORE MAKER KNIFE REVIEW
My fiancé bought me a Moore maker knife for my birthday per my request. I got the trapper in water buffalo horn with my initials engraved on the handle. The knife is an excellent knife and the fit and finish is top notch. But that's what you expect from a Texas company. The knives are not actually made in Texas but Moore maker owns the patterns and materials and jigs used to make the knives. They are contracted out because they could not possibly make that many and sell them like they do out of there very small shop it matador. It is still a Texas knife tho. Queen makes some for them and I believe bear and sons makes some as well. The knife came pretty sharp but me being a stickler for my edges on my knives I took it to my spyderco sharp maker and my strop and got it scary sharp. I have always been a fan of carbon steel over today's super stainless steels. I do carry a bench made griptilain daily and some spyderco says well but I love my traditionals. Very pleased with this knife. Mine runs about 68$ online from moormaker + 10$ in engraving. Well worth it I think. I have been a Case guy for a long time and still love them and also I like GEC. But this knife is a new favorite! Won't be my last that is for sure. Plus it being from the love of my life it is priceless and will be carried with pride.
Re: MOORE MAKER KNIFE REVIEW
Great post. I have looked at Moore Maker Knives and thought about getting one myself. I am also a big Case fan, and a fan of CV steel for pocket knives, it takes more maintenance to prevent rust, but they do sharpen so well, that they can become almost dangerous. Queen cutlery is very well known for their quality, so if they are being made by Queen they will be good knives. Post a pic when you get a chance, I have never held their buffalo horn knives, but I have handled some of their other handle types.

Re: MOORE MAKER KNIFE REVIEW
The model I have was made by bear and sons in Alabama. I talked to the owner of Moore maker myself and he said that they own all the jigs and patents and material they just basically give the companies the material and have them manufacture them. It's a great knife!!!! I love it! So it's still a Texas knife. They use 1095 carbon steel and their mix is really good. It takes a better edge than cases CV. It's very close to my 1940 case large stockman by the way it sharpens and holds an edge which is very good. I don't like Cases new CV as much. I have a 1997 stag trapper in cv I like
You can tell by the picture the fit and finish is very good. And it feels great in the hand

Looks good, I may have to put one on my Santa wish list. I was looking at their site, and I'm leaning toward the three back spring whittler. I have three case knives in CV, I really like them, I also have several in their surgical stainless, which works fine, but is a little harder to put an edge.
Bear and Sons also make good knives, so I'm sure the quality is there. it's getting harder to find American made pocket knives, when Schrade shut down, it was a sad day, I still have a couple of US made Old Timers, that I keep put away, because I know there won't be any more.
Thanks for posting the pic. I enjoy looking at knives almost as much as guns, plus they don't hurt my budget quite as much.

Re: MOORE MAKER KNIFE REVIEW
So I recently got a more maker knife and I’m super disappointed not much time when into finishing the product product number 3100 LB Is a piece of junk I don’t expected to last more than six months
Re: MOORE MAKER KNIFE REVIEW
Mine didn’t last very long either. Their heat treat on my knife was awful.
The traditional slip joints I carry are great Easter Cutlery. You won’t find a better traditional knife. Check them out.
