Happy Birthday, Marines!

Post by oohrah »

To all my Marine compadres out there, Happy Birthday and Semper Fi!

And my best wishes to all veterans as we remember the real reason for Veteran's Day.

Happy Birthday Marines!
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

Ah memories... Where and when did you serve? For me it was 53-56 at MCAS El Toro (Headquarters Battalion). Anybody happen to be around there then?

Also, have a brother who was in 47-68, all over the place including El Toro, Quantico, Lejeune, Korea. When I decided to join he strongly recommended I go Air Force but they had a 6-month waiting list. The Marines had me off to boot camp in less than a week.
