New Toy. Sig P320 RX

Post by rotor »

Wife wanted a Sig. Not for carry but for play. Showed her an article about the P320 RX (red dot equipped) and she went to Cabela's to buy one and it was on sale! $749.99 plus tax. Need a bigger safe and I hope she lets me use it. Will range report once we shoot it (I say we). I haven't seen it yet.

Congrats! Let us know how you like it - if she lets you shoot it!!

I bought a 320 carry (4"bbl) a few weeks ago. I have 300 rds through it and really like it. Good trigger out of the box and hasn't missed a beat. Pretty accurate, too!

Range report. The magazines say Sig laser boresights these things. They don't at least not mine ( my wife's ). Poured 17 rounds of Fiocchi downrange using the red dot and didn't hit the target once. Got much closer and found that the gun was shooting low and to the left. Using a combination of sighting with the fixed sights and bringing the red dot up and to the right got reasonable groups, shooting free hand and not with a rest. Shot about 100 rounds, sun was right in our eyes and quit. Had no ftf or fte but did have one failure to lock open on empty magazine. Will take it out again soon, use a rest and accurately sight it in. In any event my wife loves the gun and that's what she will be shooting for target. Her carry gun is a Performance Shield, 9mm. She is a much better shot than I am. Also took a Ruger LCR out, 38 special using some handloads. First time out. Not a fun gun to shoot. I may have to really lighten those handloads. I hate to think what +p would be like. My wife shot one round and that was it for her. Wife is happy with the Sig and that's what counts.

Which red dot did it come with?
