Hey, I agree with you on every point about Glocks. Excellent, reliable pistols and reasonably priced. Will I ever buy one? Not as long as I can get an M&P. My wife owns 2 Glock 22, a Gen 3 and a Gen 4. Both were her department issued duty sidearms which she was able to keep after retirement. The Gen 3 when the dept replaced it with the Gen 4 and the Gen 4 when she retired when it was given to her as part of the retirement package. I have spent many an hour and thousands of rounds trying to get used to the Glock. I can consistantly score 96-100 % on my qualification course with my Gen 3, but it still feels like a brick to me compared to an M&P 40. I am glad we have choices! Now I need to make it 3 more years until I retire again and I can divest myself of having to carry a Glock permanantly. :)

Well you got me cmgee67 - I thought I had finally found me another like minded non-Glock fanboy

I hate Glocks and and the fanboyism that goes with them. Sure, with some aftermarket parts and work you can make them good... but I can buy several that are great stock off the shelf. For me the ergonomics and the grip aren't comfortable or natural... Never have understood why they are praised so high.

By the time you upgrade a glock to a decent trigger and sights your into the $7-800 range. You can buy gun straight out of the box that's better for that price or cheaper.

You would be hard pressed to find a handgun with the amount of aftermarket support that Glocks have. Holsters, parts, barrels, slides, triggers, sights, etc. You could build a Glock from the ground up that contains 0% actual parts from Glock - and you can build it just the way you want it, and the parts are wide-spread and readily available.
Keep calm and carry.

BG w/gun: "Haaaaa, your gun looks like two 2 1x2's stuck together."

GG w/Glock: Bang! (thinking) "Works for me."

BG w/gun: "Haaaaa, you have lousy sights."

GG w/Glock: Bang! (thinking) "I really shoot well with them though."

BG w/gun: "Haaaaa, you paid too much for that gun."

GG w/Glock: Bang! (thinking) "Apparently, just enough to do the job."

BG w/gun: "Haaaaa, you have a lousy trigger on that brick."

GG w/Glock: Bang! (thinking) "Really? I love it.

I always get a kick out of these threads :cheers2:
