Another case of Glock leg

Post by treadlightly »

Please understand I am not making fun of a tragedy 'Course the media is sometimes it's own worst news.

A young lady is injured, probably badly, with a revolver she found.

The graphic KWTX chose is interesting.

A revolver and apparently an aftermarket revolver barrel. That is a lot of serial numbering.

Looks like I need to go walk around the "bad" part of Waco. Apparently the area is so prosperous that unwanted guns are being thrown in the street. And all I usually find is a penny but this girl finds a gun with free ammo too. Maybe I will start a rescue gun shelter to give these unwanted guns a new home.
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

Ya know, too bad more parents dont teach their kids gun safety. I would venture to say if one of our daughters off this forum ever found a gun, I am pretty sure they wouldnt end up shooting themselves (or others) with it. But of course at that age, peer pressure and wanting to be cool sometimes clouds a young-uns judgement. I have worked with all my grandkids (except the 1.5 year old one) about the importance of gun safety and what to do if they ever do find a gun.

I have never found one but what is the boards opinion on that? Call LE immediately?
Just some guy's opinion.

Yes call LE. That is the not good part of town and either somebody tossed it out the window or it fell out of some kids pants who really needs a belt to hold them up. That's just a guess by Jason.

That's what I would do. There are very few innocent reasons for a gun to be left laying around, and as already mentioned, it was probably used in a crime. Even if not, as this report shows, you can't hope that some kid wont hurt themselves, or someone else.
