Inconvenient truth is that Bashar al-Assad regime has and is protecting endangered Christians in Syria as well as minority Alawites.
The so-called "rebels" are nothing more then ISIS sympathizing fascists, hiding behind woman and children like rotten cowards that they are.

The problem is that US supported the so called "Rebels", got the ISIS problem as bonus and made of Libya and Yemen a no state countries. Iran meddling is making it only worse.

I am out of here. It is getting into politics discussion, rather than humanitarian case.

Even after the shooting, nothing? Seems like it was planned and orchestrated since there was no response.

Another reason why only highly trained police and military should have guns....especially in Turkey. Another casualty of the all powerful "gun lobby".
4/13/1996 Completed CHL Class, 4/16/1996 Fingerprints, Affidavits, and Application Mailed, 10/4/1996 Received CHL, renewed 1998, 2002, 2006, 2011, 2016...). "ATF... Uhhh...heh...heh....Alcohol, tobacco, and GUNS!! Cool!!!!"

Russian threat analysis: there's always a threat. Stay ready to kill it.

Somebody got bribed here, or else the shooter used his police credentials creatively enough to get the victim away from his detail.

Well isn't it terrorism responding to terrorism?
Terrorism is an overloaded word.
In short, it is successful assassination of a diplomatic figure in retaliation for a religious-sect cleansing in Syria. What happened in Aleppo is war genocide. A metroplex City as big as Dallas was destroyed regardless of who was there, if you watch some videos of infants being pulled out of the rubbles after an Air Strike, you would hate all kind of wars regardless of its political intent. It is World War 3, were US (and their allies) chickened out from the fight after so many red lines were drawn in the shoreline sand using clear lipsticks.

Not to blame anyone or condemn this against that. In the name of Freedom, a million or so lives were destroyed and 5-6 millions were forced to leave their homeland. In the name of fighting terrorism, the same genocide happened.
Beiruty, I can agree that terrorism is overused, and I have to be careful not to paint with too broad of a brush, but for me it is easy to boil it down.

Just because some muslim does something does not make it automatically terrorism. If a muslim robs a corner store, and shoots the clerk... is it terrorism or just good old crime? To me that is easy, that is just regular crime.

Now, if a muslim goes into his place of employment and starts yelling allahu akbar and cutting heads off... that is terrorism.

Muslims in war-torn areas fighting and shooting... not terrorism, that is just war.

In this exact case, shooting an uninvolved ambassador to "send a message" about the plight of Syria? yeah.... that is terrorism.

Intentionally killing innocent civilians at war is a war crime, at large scale it's is a genocide. Killing innocent civilians outside the battlefield, is a murder, if its done to inflict a political influence, it is terrorism.. The assination above is a murder, a revange act and terrorism

the shooter is lucky he is dead, sadly his family or friends are likely going to get a lesson in why Russia is typically left alone. The last time one of their diplomats was killed was before the former KGB leader was in charge. They can be swift and brutal in a way that anyone believing in jihad will understand.
