The Forum birthday almost came and went without me noticing it! Thanks for the post Skiprr.

Thanks also to our Members and Moderators who have made the Forum such a great resource. Over the last dozen years, we grown, lost Forum Family Members and their loved ones. We've welcomed Members' kids and grandchildren. We began with George Bush as President, survived Obama and are now looking forward to Trump and a pro-gun U.S. Supreme Court.

A lot happened and a lot changed over 12 years. If I'm around for another dozen years, I hope we look back on the Obama years like a bad dream from which we awakened.

When I joined this forum it was 3 months old and one of many gun forums I was a member of. Due to the dedication of Charles, the moderators, and members, it has become the only gun forum I am on. I have had the privilege of meeting Charles as well as a lot of the members and everyone has been great. Years ago we all had a get together at PSC to shoot and fellowship. That was my first introduction to the Ammo eating Texas Star. Although there is no way we could do that now with over 18k members, at least there are area meet and greets.

I'm proud to be a member of this forum. I was severely under-educated on self-defense laws and the subject of legally carrying a handgun when I joined. Though I will never consider myself an expert on the subject, there are members here who do fit that description, in my eyes, and this forum allows me access to all the considerable knowledge they possess.
