Factory Sight Alignment

Post by kg5ie »

Just picked up a new revolver. It shoots way left. Here is the front sight from the factory. My question is, do they align them at all at the factory or is it all about production time?

The picture looks like the sight is off center to the right, which would send your shots left.

It also looks like the sight is mounted in a dovetail slot.

Any gunsmith (or even a friend with a sight pusher tool) could fix that in a jiffy.
