New Slide Racking Assist Tool

Post by Excaliber »

A new assist tool for those with arthritis or injuries that impair their ability to rack a semiauto pistol has been developed.

Details can be found here.

Interesting.

Upon first sight, I though of the gadget scene from Tin Cup! "rlol"

On a more serious note- With rheumatoid arthritis in the family (so Thankful I don't have any signs of it yet) I'm in search of a solution, other than just moving to revolvers. However, I would think that the hand strength to squeeze the two pegs together (especially for someone fighting arthritis) while racking the slide would be nearly as tough as squeezing the slide and racking the slide.

Looking at the tool, I don't believe you need to " squeeze anything. You pull straight back to engage the clamping jaws.
