I'm trying to process how much money the robber thought the jogger was carrying down inside those running shorts......

.....which turned out to be something besides money.......

"the robber thought"...probably not very much.

The requirements for getting into robbery school are not hard. Sometimes though you don't pass out of first grade.

That's pretty darn close to my neck of the woods. I know exactly where that is. Basic middle class neighborhoods around there as far as I know. Just goes to show, you don't have to be in the "bad" part of town for stuff like this to happen. Glad the jogger is okay. Hope they catch the other criminal.
I prefer dangerous freedom to safety in chains.

Let's go Brandon.

About 3 miles from where I live. Shop and eat a lot in that area.

Maybe just wanted to teach the little boy a lesson and shot him in the leg. Or maybe it was a "running" shot. They wouldn't even release the name of the robber cause of his age!
Btw, we eat at no frills grill ( next to la fitness) often. Smh

Article I read said potential victim did not have a LTC. Police reported to have said they will turn information that over to the D.A. Wonder what will happen to him.

Per this article http://www.wfaa.com/news/crime/armed-jo ... /411926484
Police are questioning the jogger, but don't believe he will face charges. According to police, he did not have a concealed handgun license, and that information will be referred to the District Attorney's office.

Yeah, what TAM said; the most valuable thing the average jogger carries is their phone. Wallet is usually secured elsewhere.....mugging joggers is counter-productive.

Re: hit perp in the leg; think about what you can comfortably carry while jogging, then size that down for someone who doesn't have an LTC so presumably also doesn't have a decent holster/carry method. Probably had some like a .25 auto with such a short site radius and a truly rotten trigger pull, he was lucky to hit the perp at all......

Not to mention probably being out of breath, and suddenly dealing with the adrenaline rush, of having someone jump out at him with a gun. None of that makes for steady shooting.
