21st Birthday

Post by T3hK1w1 »

Well, after almost 21 years of waiting  I had my 21st Birthday today :woohoo I did the prerequisites, buying a beer, ammo, etc. No handgun purchase cause my existing one is fine for the moment :o I got some great stuff, some of it may be of interest to y'all. For knives, I got a Gerber Gator II folding skinner, and my mother presented me with a Godbit by Helle knives that she brought back from her trip to Norway last week. I also got the latest edition of Gun Trader's Guide and a fastinating book called Cartridges of the World, which is absolutely wonderful. It has detailed info on cartridges I have never heard of, like the .41 Special (a wildcat derived from the .41 mag), the .38 Casull, 5mm Bergmann, and the 44 Merwin & Hulbert :confused5

LOL! Who *wouldn't* want to carry a handgun chambered in a cartridge called "44 Merwin & Hulbert"? It sounds so serious...Almost like it was designed by an accounting firm.

Congratulations on your 21st!

Congratulations on your 21st!

That would be the ".45 Dewey,Cheatham & Howe".

Now now, we all know that "Dewey, Cheatham & Howe" is a law firm. You have to admit that "Merwin & Hulbert" sound like accountants. I should know...I used to be one. :rolll

Isn't that the one that issues a subpoena to each and every witness, takes photos of the scene, and pleads the fifth for you in advance. Doesn't It also gets the target (and anyone else with standing) to sign away their right to sue?

I know....but there are more lawyers here than accountants (I think), its a sensitivity thing.

As for accountants, I'm married to one (a female).

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

Happy Birthday.

And, in case you did not know, Merwin and Hulbert was a post civil war company that made an excellent revolver. Here is a link to a compnay planning on bringing back replicas:
