I have been itching for one of these for a long time and finally pulled the trigger. It is a Kimber Ultra Raptor II in .45.

beautiful piece!! I hope to buying my first 1911 in August! I haven't decided if I want a Kimber or a STI

Very nice! I like the looks of the grip area at the rear of the slide. Different.

I have put a 100 rounds of 230 gr FMJ and 50 Rounds of Federal HST 230 gr. with no issues at all. This gun has an aluminum frame and the recoil is definetly different than a steel frame. This is a 3" gun and is very accurate to say the least. I love everything about this gun so far. I can only image what this thing would be capable of in someone's hands who could shoot. I will post more pics later.
