Tropical Storm Humberto

Post by Keith B »

You folks in the Houston area, especially near PSC, look like you are in for another nasty rain and wind event! Hope the flooding isn't as bad as Erin was.

Batten down the hatches!

Thanks for the good wishes. Lots of forum members live on this section of the coast.

We don't get too excited until it's a category 3 hurricane.

Hehe. I'm off for the next three days after tonight. So on one hand, my days off are gonna be crappy and rainy... but on the other hand, I don't have to leave the apartment much. Nothing like sitting inside during a slamming rain storm watching movies and eating junk food and not having to go anywhere :)

wet trip

Post by Rex B »

I am leaving in the morning driving from DFW to Florida.
Looks like I need to freshen the RainX on the windshield .

And you didn't even call me! With all the good vibes I was casting out for the storm to bend a little more to the east...

I thought that would at least earn a "cold" beer...

We only got a trickle of rain, and not a lot of wind...

But it sure did look angry sitting off the beach on radar...

I tell you 24 hours and things can change very fast can't they...

It is wise to be prepared to beat feet at a moments notice though...

Lots of rain, lots of power outages, not much damage. I slept through most of it. The eye passed over Jefferson and Orange counties sometime before daylight. There was a general power outage but, my power was restored by 8:30 this morning and Cable and Road Runner was back on by 6:10 this evening.
