Finally got a revolver

Post by age_ranger »

Not was HighVelocity was hoping to see, but it's a revolver nonetheless. My wife's late grandfather kept this "undercover" for about 30 years and it's look great. No visible wear and overall is 100%. Lockup is tight and it has maybe 20 rounds shot through it. I cleaned it up the other night and just wanted to show it off. It's a Charter Arms .38 Special "undercover" model. Mfr was in the 60's and ut still sports the original wood grips which are also in great condition. This will be handed down to our sons some day. It's got a case hardened hammer and exposed ejector rod which I've heard are good signs in these. I've also heard not to use +p or +p+ ammo so I picked up some low recoil Fed H-Shoks today for it.

This one is a permanent resident on her car. Her favorite now is a commander size Para LTC 1911. She claims the Para shoots softer than her cute revolver.. ;-) ;-)
