Renewing...?

Post by SigM4 »

Ok, so I'm set to renew my CHL pretty soon and I couldn't find an answer on this previously posted. First time to renew, so I have a question, do they require new pictures with each renewal? Because my first one looks like a serial killer mug shot, kind of ironic. Which makes me wonder about a contest as to who has the worst CHL picture....

Every CHL I've seen looks like a Felon ID card.

It proves that you are who you say you are to them when renewing.
Additionally, the Instructor will usually check your current CHL and your DL and the Finger Printer will sign one of your photos.

This is to ensure that someone does not attempt/successfully obtain a CHL by way of fake identity.

The fingerprinter should be signing both photos, now.
Ø resist

Take away the second first, and the first is gone in a second.

Renewals only require one fingerprint card and it's for the FBI check. The feds won't do a background check without one.
