Thanks for the heads up.

Hadn't heard of this offer until I saw your post. Sent of receipt and form today (9/13/07) to see what happens. Will post updates as status changes.

They have been running these ads off and on for several years. In case anyone doubts the quality of the bags they are very nice, high quality range bags. I know because I have 3 of them.

Actually jumped the gun a little (no pun intended)on my previous post. I didn't get the forms mailed until today.

I was delayed by a day after reading the requirements to send copy of sales receipt and model/serial number. I don't generally give this information to anyone and wanted to check a few things out before mailing this type information.

Went on line and searched address and phone number from the form and sure enough S&W came up. Information matched other S&W data sources as well, so I mailed today. Glad to see from other posts that this is legit offer.

Now will wait to see what the mailman brings me.

As promised, here's my status update on my free S&W Range bag. Mailed form on 15th and received bag on the 27th. I'd say that's great response. Less than 2 weeks mailbox to front door.

Bag is nice. About what you'd pay $25 for if you were to buy one at Bass Pro. 600 Denier polyester with PVC backing. Side padding is thin but is there, there's also a padded center divider. Has nice S&W logo in white on black on one side. Zippered panels on each end, two external pockets on one side and zippered pocket on opposite side (interior). Even comes with a shoulder strap.

About the right size to carry two pistols, extra mags, ear muffs, ammo and a few other items to the range.

Considering I got the pistol as a freebee from Bass Pro using points, this is a double freebee. Makes it just that much sweeter.

Heck I bought a Smith. It is 25 year old, but I did buy a Smith after that date.

Probably doesn't count.
