Re: Warrantless Searches of Homes
To the best of my knowledge if you are a FFL, sole proprietor or partnership type operation you are subject to a search of your properties at ATF discretion, however If your a share or stockholder protected by being incorporated I doubt their ability to do a search of your property
Government, like fire is a dangerous servant and a fearful master
If you ain't paranoid you ain't paying attention

Clearly you don't hunt out west, off I-20. (Cisco area) Every year on Sunday after deer season opens a BUNCH of pick ups get stopped... anything remotely resembling a hunter (ie; even a cooler or camo hat visible constitutes a pull over.. for anything from 2-3 MPH over to a not "squared off left turn" onto the frontage road- yup got that one once) and other actual funny claims. And every time the quote is that "I happen to be riding with a game warden today- Oh, it appears you may have been hunting" Followed by a full search of each passenger, every cooler and all bags and gun cases. During which they ask where each lives and where you are going... I'm sure if close by they would go to your house to "complete" the search.carlson1 wrote: If the Game Warden had the "super search powers" that the old legend says they have then the police can just call the Game Warden when they want to search a house.
Legal? Maybe/maybe not (barely if it is) but I won't argue it on the side of I-20 because I don't take illegal game and we all have our hunting licenses. I have complained to the authorities but don't think my calls have been taken past the guy answering the phone.

It only furthers the negative stereotypes of small town cops and game wardens.
