Alamo redevelopment

Today during the Rush Limbaugh radio show there was a political ad paid for by George P. Bush about the truth about the restoration and redevelopment of the Alamo grounds.

The ad referred to the sad shape the Alamo was in and how it's located behind a "strip center".

Apparently the truth about what is being done is being maligned by some things I have read. Thus the reason for a counter ad.

One thing I read was that an out of state Architect was hired to develop the plans.

I also understand they may intend to recreate some of the structures that were destroyed previously.

All of this is making me nervous.

Any one know what is really going on? I understand the daughters gave up on their operation of the Alamo, were they aware of all these plans when they did that?
