Actually, in both cases, he used it as an adjective.

Growing up, I had a neighbor who named his dog Assault. Would that be a proper noun? :cool:
Texas LTC Instructor, NRA pistol instructor, RSO, NRA Endowment Life , TSRA, Glock enthusiast (tho I have others)

If he caught me it would be "Assault assaulting!"
When the attack was over it would be "Assault assaulted."
That would mean I would have been "Assaulted by assault." :lol::
