I’m sure it will eventually turn up that Sesame Street’s Mr. Rogers was a total perv and sent nude selfies to Miss Piggy. When Kermit found out, he got all bent out of shape and now he’s upset that some was pulling his strings while having their hand up his ...... well..... you know......RogueUSMC wrote:Give it a day...mojo84 wrote:That's about it. Joe Barton's issue is one of idiocy where he was apparently having an affair in a consensual relationship while still married. He might actually be the victim of a crime perpetrated by the ex girlfriend with the publication of the photos. That is far different than these other cases of alleged sexual harassment and assault. Still stupid and reckless though.talltex wrote: Ummm--Joe Barton, our Republican Texas Congressman ??? ....
My brother has an ex-friend who was convicted of a felony for doing exactly what this woman did. He had a nasty break up with his ex, then posted sexually explicit pictures of her online and sent a link to all of her coworkers and family. Felony conviction for "revenge porn" and I believe he ended up serving 6 months along with paying a civil judgment. That was in Washington state. I'm not sure of the laws in the state where this woman was located when she published the photos, but this type of behavior is illegal in most states, and for good reason.rtschl wrote:Joe Barton's issue is one of idiocy where he was apparently having an affair in a consensual relationship while still married. But I agree, scumbags can be found in both parties and in any profession. I hope the guilty are rooted out and innocent (like the Duke lacrosse team) do not suffer injustice.
Weiner broke the law by sending the photos to an UNDERAGE girl. Quite a big difference between that and sending photos to an adult girlfriend.Abraham wrote:People stupid enough to create/send salacious photos of themselves can't be trusted...period.
Didn't Weiner (what a perfect name for a perv) already prove that or did this episode of idiocy occur previous to Whiner's imbroglio?
exhibit 'A' of what I said. The only republican, Roy Moore, accused of the same abusive predatory behavior the left is being proven to have engaged in, has had the accusations pretty much proven to be false as evidenced by what I previously wrote.rtschl wrote:Joe Barton's issue is one of idiocy where he was apparently having an affair in a consensual relationship while still married. I was a submarine sailor- off the boat our lives were filled with “inappropriate conduct”!Oldgringo wrote:Who hasn't been guilty of "inappropriate conduct" of some sort or another at some time or another?

Do you honestly believe that a person's political party affiliation grants them a position of moral superiority? The legislature in both Austin and Washington ( and every other state) is full of corruption, graft, kickbacks, influence peddling and under the table deals, regardless of which political party has control. It has always been that way. That is how the system operates, and being Republican or Democrat doesn't equate to saints and sinners.wil wrote:I don't doubt the leftist types are guilty, given how much hypocrisy we've seen in them on so many other things why would we not expect this kind've behavior when they have the power to get away with it?
Secondly, as vociferously as they scream such accusations at republicans about the 'war on women' it make sense it is no more than them projecting onto us who and what they are. Deep down they know darn well the vast majority of people on this side of the political fence do not engage in such behavior, and they hate us because that truth is something they don't want to face about themselves.
Notice so far the only republican accused of anything, Moore, has had his accusers crawl back into the woodwork when his attorney demanded they produce the yearbook for forensic examination. As soon as it was time to: "put up or shut up"
Where is Allred and her client / Accuser of Moore? Silence from them both......
They are now reaping what they've sown, remember back in the `09's "..it's just sex" and "...character doesn't matter, it's the economy stupid..."
Times have changed politically and culturally, the left has not and it's finally catching up to them.
Amen!Oldgringo wrote:Who hasn't been guilty of "inappropriate conduct" of some sort or another at some time or another?
