I have been selected by my employer to attend a Microsoft Server 2008 Beta class at TEKFOKUS located at 1950 Stemmons Freeway, INFOMART Suite 2062, Dallas, TX, 75207-3107.
I will be staying at the Quality Inn near Turtle Creek Lane & Market Center Blvd.
I would like some info from DFW folks about this area & if anyone knows if either of these businesses are posted 30.06 or are otherwise off limits (e.g. - school carry, etc.), please.
ETA: Also, is this area (near Harry Hines & Market Center) as bad now as it was about 20 years ago (e.g. - crime, etc.)?

I worked a short contract at the Infomart. The infomart itself isn't posted, so you're fine there.
As far as crime, it's okay. Not good, not bad, but okay. The Infomart has attracted some upscale businesses, but not a lot. As long as you head north or south you'll be fine, just try not to head west across the river.
As far as resturants in the area, if you can afford it, go for Mortons. You're about a mile from downtown dallas, so you have your pick of anything.
