Couldn't help myself; Had to take a photo...

This was spotted at BOTH of the Colloquium bookstores here on the Texas State campus. Couldn't help but chuckle to myself knowing that their sign was illegitimate.

I'm not 100% about the circs, but if it is a building on a school campus, I think CHL's are statutorilly prohibited from carrying. No need for a 30.06 notice.

Maybe someone can confirm this.

Can't see the pic, but, when talking about college campuses, you never know who owns the building, even in the middle of campus, at least for related "services" like bookstores and some student organizations.

Case in point. My church congregation has a Student Center near the middle of the local university campus. Because of how long we've had it there, the campus now surrounds it, but the Student Center is not owned by the school (university).
Remember, in a life-or-death situation, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

I guess that is where I'm not sure. I thought that if the building, regardless of ownership, is on the campus, then it is off-limits.

The pic shows a non-30.06-compliant "gun-busters" sign.

That bookstore is just off campus, accross the street. I spent too much money in there was I was at school there.

I couldn't see the pic either. It's on Kazaa file sharing. Here it is on ImageShack.

The law specifically excludes CHL from school premises. How can a building not owned by the school be part of their premises?
