Covert Carrier Clip on? Anyone tried this for IWB carry?

Seems priced high for what it is, but I really would prefer not to have an actual holster if I can comfortably avoid it with my PF-9. Anyone tried one of these, or something similar?

The trigger pull on the new PF-9s is so darn long, I wouldn't likely believe you if you told me you had and AD/ND. Shoot that gun one time and you'll know what I mean. Yet, on the other hand, I carry my PF-9 daily in a pocket holster (you can see it in the "Pictures of your daily carry" thread), and I enjoy knowing that the trigger is protected. You know... Just in case.
Also, visit the Kel-Tec website and call their sales office if you want a clip for your PF-9. Not only is theirs only $15, but it's a solid piece of steel that attaches to the slide with a small pin/screw. No offense, but that clip you posted a link to looks like a joke... at best.

If I were to carry my .32NAA with no round chambered I would have to ask a BG for help to rack the slide before I could use it on him.
I ordered one of those for my .32NAA but what he sent was a set of grips to replace the originals, with the clip embedded in the right grip. I modified my original grip to take the clip and use it that way, no holster, just hanging on the waistband of my britches.
Unless the gun is carried very close to a belt loop, it has a tendency to drag the waistband down in such a way that it is quite obvious that it is there. Placement of my belt loops vary a great deal from one pair of pants to another, so there is no real constancy to where the gun ends up. You can bend the clip out so it fits over a belt, but that kind of defeats the purpose.
The clip does bend fairly easily, but it bends right back.
I have fired the gun with the clip in place, but would not want to run it through an IDPA BUG match that way, I think it would wear a hole in my hand, this thing is strictly for those times when you can't carry a real gun in a real holster.
Having said that, I will continue to carry with it. One of these days I will get a spaqare set of grips for use when I pocket carry or use a holster.

So you have no apprehension with using this chambered? It looks really comfortable, but I certainly would worry about accidental discharge.

No, with the hard DA trigger pull of that particular gun, I have no apprension at all.lawrnk wrote:So you have no apprehension with using this chambered? It looks really comfortable, but I certainly would worry about accidental discharge.
I did and do practice with it unloaded.
I'll tell you something else, there ain't no quick draw with this thing, getting the gun out requires an interesting set of motions:
Reach back along the waistband with the whole hand with the thumb inside to come in contact with the top of the slide.
Push the gun back an inch or so and using the forefinger press upward on the muzzle, freeing the gun from the waistband.
Grip the gun, as it slides upward, with the middle and ring finger and complete the draw as the thumb slides around the opposite side of the grip.
-----
It is not always the most comfortable way to carry, remember you're carrying a bare gun either against your skin or a shirt, not a holster.
