Another cheap ammo find at Wal-Mart in Fort Worth...

Post by SigM4 »

Well, found .45 Blazer Brass for $9.87 a box at the Wal-Mart on 121 and Beach Street here in Fort Worth. Last time I saw it it was around $11.50 a box. Bought all they had, but comtemplating taking my reciept to other stores tomorrow to see if they'll match it. Just FYI...

The Walmart at I-30@Eastchase has always been that price. Last time I was in there they had at least 20 boxes on the shelf. I reload my own now so I didn't buy any.
I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

Wal-Mart stores do not have uniform ammo pricing. There are at least two pricing levels and it varies by district.

The Wal-Mart on Hulen just south of I-20 has that price too as of last weekend. It's been that price for a while. That's how I built up two and a half cases of it.

Their .40S&W is $7.57, which is a dime cheaper than their 9mm. All this is CCI Blazer Brass.

There are 4 walmarts within a 10 mile radius of my house. None of them carry the same items and all have different prices.

Take your receipt to Gander Mountain. Supposedly, they will price match any local competitor's price. I've been told by people that have worked there that they were told that GM considers local to be anyone within a one hour drive but "Your mileage may vary".

It's worth a shot, anyway.
