Able to renew CHL

I have a friend that has run into some financial issues, he had his car repossessed, will this prevent him from renewing his CHL. I told him that I would ask all the knowledgable people on the TexasCHLforum.

As long as he paid his taxes and student loans, he should be OK.

In other words, you can mess with your creditors, but don't mess with Texas.

(Oh yeah... and court ordered child support, etc...)

As long as he has not been charged or convicted of a disqualifying crime his CHL status/renewal should not be affected.

One can even or the IRS and still be eligible - just not Texas!
