How about an explanation as to why?

The Pink Pistol thread was locked and I'm puzzled as to why?

I didn't see anything wrong with it, but maybe I'm overlooking something that a moderator justly thought was a reason for locking it.

So, rather than leaving the members scratching their heads when threads are locked - why not explain why?
