The Berry Center

Post by ghentry »

Does anyone know if the Berry Center is posted 30.06? I'll be going there this weekend for a concert.

Well, apparently nobody here has been to this place before either. My concern is that it is owned by an ISD, although this is not a school sponsored function. I'll report back tomorrow if they have signage, etc.

Curious. They mention knives, handcuffs, and all kinds of otherwise legal things, but not firearms.

No persons, including minors, shall be permitted to events at the arena or additional projects at the complex unless properly attired. Berry Center reserves the right to determine proper attire for events at the complex. Unless authorized by Berry Center , no person shall be admitted into the facility of the complex with any of the following items in his possession:

Alcohol beverages or controlled substances (unless prescribed for the possessor) cameras, audio or visual recording equipment, radios, televisions or any other such electronic devices, except when authorized.
Pets (Service Animals are allowed.)
Bottles, either plastic or glass
Shopping carts
Cans or coolers
Fireworks
Weapons and dangerous devices of any type
Unless authorized by Berry Center, the carrying of food and beverages into the facility of the complex is prohibited.

No person shall bring any object into the facilities with intent to use or which may be used as a weapon or projectile.

Well, if it is owned by a school district but not a school sponsored activity, I think they cannot ban a CHL from carrying, but I did find those policies. I have never heard of it before someone else posted the link though.

And I guess I cannot go in, since EVERYTHING I own, including my body, can be used as a weapon, and will be if I need it.

Update: I went and did not see any 30.06 signs. There were signs on the glass, above the doors which mentioned no weapons, blah blah blah. On a side note... they inspected all of the purses so ladies, carry on body if you go.
