President of Iran threatened the US with the mother of all wars.

Trump responded like only Trump can. Iran probably won’t say things like that again.

Trump is not Carter or Obama.
The mullahs are almost done. The security forces are turning in massive numbers. Bringing in brutal mercenaries did not work this time. It is hard to follow, but twitter is the best place for real info.

The US will support the Iranians de-revolution, not get deeply involved.

Trump to provide $12 billion in aid to farmers to ease trade pain
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa- ... op+News%29

“This trade war is cutting the legs out from under farmers and the White House’s ‘plan’ is to spend $12 billion on gold crutches,” said Senator Ben Sasse, a Nebraska Republican.

Senator Rand Paul wrote on Twitter. “If tariffs punish farmers, the answer is not welfare for farmers — the answer is remove the tariffs.”

Michael Cohen gives a Trump tape to CNN. Apparently Michael Cohen has decided to not go the Trump will pardon me route.

I guess lawyers have different rules than a priest in the confessional. Here I thought they were the same.

I would guess that you are referring to attorney-client privilege by your statement. Such privilege for attorneys and their client is much more restrictive than for a priest, but when the parties waive that privilege, then none exists. In this case Trump waived whatever privilege may have existed otherwise.

Federal prosecutors have 12 Cohen tapes after Trump waives privilege

You probably didn’t know Trump got an enthusiastic standing ovation at the VFW convention in Kansas City recently. Many stories still tried to make it negative as he spoke about trade.

If you sell an American car in Europe you pay a 25% Tarriff. If you sell a European car in America you pay a 10% Tarriff. Does that seem fair? Trump is proposing no tarriffs for cars worldwide. To get Europe’s attention he has proposed a 25% Tarriff on European cars.

In addition a German car costs a lot more in Germany than it does in the US. That maybe called dumping.

Where are you getting these numbers? I'm seeing numbers that are different :tiphat:

Maybe Congress should pass a law stating import tariffs will be calculated every quarter based on the prior four quarters. The US tariff on imports from a country will be the same on all goods from that country, and equal to the highest rate that country charged on any US imports in the previous four quarters. Goes into effect 1/1/2019.

And the firepower to make a difference.

I'm sure that foreign powers would support that, especially in light of the fact that the US charges a 2.5% duty on imported cars, but charges a 25% levy on trucks imported into the US (and has since the 60's). They could use our own laws to rationalize higher tariffs in their own country. Tariffs are not a viable solution, and their unintended consequences are well known "If you are an actual business leader, and not a real estate speculator pretending to be one"

Trump gets concessions from Europe on trade. Will buy more LNG.

More winning.

I’m sure this will be spun as bad for global warming.
