Nuns, other stockholders try to influence S & W, plus Ruger.

The above link details what shareholders are attempting to get AOBC (American Outdoor Brands Corp, owner of Smith and Wesson) and Sturm, Ruger to do.

Although the link above doesn't contain the reference, a hardcopy news article I read (source unknown by now) stated that Roman Catholic nuns were part of the activist shareholders who were trying to influence the 2 companies, of course asking for useless gun control actions.

AOBC holds its shareholder meetings online, helping to eliminate dissidents.
Ruger holds those IRL (in real life), opening Ruger up to more direct criticism.

Wall Street Journal had an article about it I think 2 days ago. Bunch of progressive funds also are pulling this off. They buy the stock not to make money but to vote at meetings. Just like some funds try to promote green energy. Very smart and dangerous but clever way to push an agenda. The only recourse is to know what funds we are invested in and where our retirement money is. What we need is a national organization that can release to it's members info to help us keep our money in friendly funds. Oh, we have such an organization. But where is the info?

More left wing hoopla!!

If I were S&W, or Ruger, my "safety' claim would be that, as long as the safety, is deployed, and the trigger not manipulated, or otherwise acted upon, by a human, our guns will never cause, injury, or death. JMHO

Any chance legitimate shareholders could have a class action claim for sabotaging their investments?

I can only hope it backfires and causes a breakthrough in development... I'm reminded of a line from Ironman...
