shame... The husband shouldn't have said anything and kept the element of surprise. He might be alive. Personally if i hear someone rooting around in my house, to me the best thing to do is arm yourself and keep quiet. don't go confront them or try to be a hero. Also another reason my weapon of choice for home defense is a shotgun. 1 shot is all it woulda took with XX buck... either way that hoodlum should have got the death penalty... ridiculous.

Letting them take your stuff will only have them coming back at a later time to get more stuff. That's why some peoples houses get broken in multiple times.
