Another Father Son milestone
Just returned from the Fort Worth gun show, with my son. He turned 21 last month, and we went to buy his first handgun.
We had gone last month to Defender Outdoors where you can rent as many guns as you can shoot in an hour. He tried, Sig, Glock, Ruger, Canik, S&W, Beretta, CZ, Remington, etc. Polymer framed, striker fired, SA/DA SA only, 1911 etc.
He decided he liked the CZ 75 best. ( He is a crack shot, with whatever he shoots)
So we went today to the gun show, and found a CZ 75B Omega cheaper than I have found the Regular CZ 75 B. His is convertible, it has a decocker, which can be changed to the regular safety, if he wants to. So I paid for his new gun, and he is going to schedule his LTC class soon.
We brought it home, disassembled it, cleaned it, and lubed it. He also got a gun belt and holster. So he is practicing his draw, reading the owner's manual, and getting to know his new best friend.
Just wanted to share my latest bonding moment with my son, I know they will become fewer and farther between.

Congratulations to you and your son Justme!
Who is the prouder one? You for having your son reach the magic age, or your son getting that great new handgun?
Just cherish the moment. Hope you have many more.

Excellent! I have my kids on the same - responsible - path but a couple of years behind you.

Good job. I am always thankful to see the younger generation being taught firearm safety and Patriotic responsibility of self defense.
I taught both my kids. Started them on their own firearm collection. Had the privilege of training and buying Daughter In Law one. Her first 1911.
One grandson the same as above. One granddaughter trained and 1st handgun. Now her husband to be. He is good w/ a rifle. Has his own. I had the privilege of training him w/ a handgun. His wedding present is in the corner waiting on September.

Jusme Jr, and I went to the gun range Saturday, so he could shoot his new CZ. It shoots great, very accurate soft recoil, and had 0 issues with any ammo. Between us we shot about 300 rounds. My Anniversary is coming up next month, already giving Mrs. Jusme, hints as to what I would like.
Really enjoyed watching my son shooting, hoping to get him into an LTC class in the next few weeks.
