‘78 and ‘79 production.
Trigger on the ‘78 is a little nicer than the ‘79, both are decent.
Very happy for $150 each. Guess I’m going to need to take a break from my year of wheel guns only to test them out.

JG Sales had them for that price, but they've upped it to $180 now.
There's a company (https://jack-first-gun-parts.myshopify.com/) making new parts for these guns.skeathley wrote: Sun Mar 10, 2019 1:22 pm That's a great price, and those are very good guns. I had a Star B for several years.
I can't validate this, but I have read that the firing pins on these (at least the model B) are cast, not forged, so they can break under dry-firing. I did not routinely dry-fire mine, and still broke the FP. There are still parts available, barely. It took me 3 months to find one.
If I were you, I would take one out, take the measurements, start looking now, and try to buy two.

Be careful, I've heard they are prone to overheat when shot uphill.74novaman wrote: Sun Mar 10, 2019 12:02 pm Star BMs were on sale for $150 last week, so I bought two.

I’ve got two spare firing pins and extractors right now.AndyC wrote: Sun Mar 10, 2019 3:46 pm Great deal on some very nice guns, and yes - get extra firing-pins if you can.
