I'd like to give a shout out to MarkHam Jewelers in Frisco

Post by Tex1961 »

Anniversary is coming up so I wanted to get a nice set of earrings for my wife. I headed out and stopped off at Jarad's Jewelry in Frisco.... From the parking lot I could see the HUGE 30.06 / 30.07 signs.... Didn't even get out of my truck, so I just searched for the next jewelry store.... Found Markham and drove over... No signs, all good....

As I was perusing the sales ladies asked why I was there, and I looked straight at her and said that I just came from Jarod's and I wasn't happy that they want to deprive me of some of my Constitutional Rights.... She looked right back at me and smiled and said, Yep... Can't conceal carry in there can you.... I grinned and she said I have my LTC too..... Needless to say I ended up with a little better customer service and even a huge discount from her that I don't think I would have gotten without our shared beliefs...

Anyway.... Wanted to share for any of you that need a jewelry store in the Frisco area....

The above link details the Markham Jewelry store robbery on 5-15-15. Frisco PD thought they had the robbers cornered in the parking garages for the Dallas Stars hockey team's arena, but the robbers apparently had slipped the noose and got away.

During the search, Frisco Fire Department extended their highest ladder trucks to give an overview of the area, but still didn't manage to put eyes on the robbers.

You should copy the sales receipt from Markham's and mail it to Jarod's along with a picture of their 06/07 signs, with a note explaining that the signs were why their competitor got your business.

Kudos to MarkHam Jewelrs in Frisco. I is nice that you can patronize a local store that is gun friendly.
As for sending a copy of the receipt to Jared, save your stamp. Do a quick Google search to learn about
the corporation. Your letter would end up in the trashcan. JMO. :tiphat:

True, but I don’t do Facebook, Twitter or any of them. I just hope if anyone reading this forum and needs jewelry that they mention why they were chosen.

They have Google reviews, you can take a picture of the receipt, and post it there along with a review of your reasons. Just sayin...

Ya know.... Not a bad idea.....

Even a blind pig finds an acorn once in awhile!

But don't mail it to some corporate office. Send it to that particular Jarod's (Jarad's?), or even better walk in (legally!), politely ask for the manager, and put it in his or her hand.

And a google review that marks them down for the signs wouldn't hurt.

These by themselves won't effect immediate change, but it will put the issue in their consciousness. Others here on the board have had some success pointing out the confused thought behind these signs to business owners and manager. Certainly nothing will change if nothing is done.

I know and am very familiar with the management at the Jared's at Gaylord and Preston. They will not be swayed.

Is that out of personal conviction, or blind devotion to Jared's policies?
