A Copperhead Loves the South- CONFEDERATE MEMORIAL DAY ADDRESS 22 April 2019 by John A. Eidsmoe

The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

From the article:
Who controls the past controls the future; who controls the present controls the past. And remember this as well: No society can long survive if it teaches its children to hate their ancestors and be ashamed of their heritage.

Great post. Very proud of one Great Grandfather who was a Lt in the 41st Mississippi Infantry at Chickamauga and was captured at Durham, NC, another Great Grandfather who was wounded at the Battle of Corinth in Jollicofer's Brigade, and a Great, Great Uncle who was in the 11th Mississippi Infantry and killed at Gettysburg in Pickett's charge. Slavery was a bad thing, but these men fought for their homes, their state, and their friends and neighbors. They returned from the war and built families and lived out the reconciliation Lincoln desired between the states and those who had fought on opposite sides. Today we want to ignore and vilify anyone and anything that was part of the South. We can remember and respect history without exalting it.

Fantastic read. Thank you for posting bblhd672.

This should be required reading in our schools (and will now be, for my daughter).
Your best option for personal security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.
When those fail, aim for center mass.

2 of my great granny's grand fathers fought for the South. One was captured and escaped twice. I'm pretty sure neither owned slaves and I'm just as proud of them as another ancestor that died in the Revolutionary War and many others in my family that have fought in various wars last century and this one.

I like this quote
The South won’t have to rise again. Just remain standing while the rest … falls
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.
