High school varsity BBQ teams? Yeah, it’s a thing in Texas

How is it that this a new thing? This is awesome.

As neat and fun as that would be, how about we just educate the kids and quit spending money needlessly?

That being said, this has more of a usefulness later in life than many other activities that are school sponsored.
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

I think it's a great idea. As far as money spent, I wouldn't think it would require near the outlay of funds required for band, sports, Ag. Cheerleading etc. No fleet of buses required, no major equipment expense outside of the metal required to build a smoker. They have to maintain their grades to be on the team. Sounds like a great way to get kids involved in more than video games.
I would have been all over this, if it had been available back in the Stone age when I was in high school. Mastadon slow cooked ribs mmmmm. :mrgreen:
Take away the Second first, and the First is gone in a second :rules: :patriot:
