Nominated to the Police shooting review committee

Post by Bill »

This board is a citizen only review board when an officer is involved in a shooting. I am not sure of the time commitment and already work several hours a week at the HPD Spring Branch Storefront.

I think it might be interesting to exam these events and would be useful for my being a handgun instructor one day. I passed security clearance when I was allowed on the NCIC/TCIC terminal so I do not think another background check is needed although Houston policy's prevail.

It really depends on how much time is involved, have any of you served on the committee ? How was it ? I have not yet had a formal meeting to discuss this position

Congradulations, It sounds, like a real honor. It also sounds like it would be very interesting.
