Kills a police officer.
Sounds like from the story he grabbed the officers rifle by reaching inside his car.

Re: Felon in possession of a gun
He had his own AR in his own car. Felon in possession.
Some unconfirmed online discussion that it may have been a "Ghost" gun (homemade or made from an unfinished lower).

The CHP decided to impound the truck and a tow had been called when the driver reached into the back of his pickup — apparently to retrieve personal items — but instead grabbed a rifle and opened fire, authorities said..

I don't want to mix up threads but the police shooter in the current Philadelphia story also had a rifle and a long rap sheet. I predict that if either of them got their weapons from a legal source, we will hear about it. If not, that part of the stories will get buried.

[sarc]If only there was a law saying felons aren't allowed to have guns. Oh well, lets just take all the guns away from law abiding citizens. That will help.[\sarc]

That’s why I started this thread, two incidents where convicted felons killed or wounded police officers with guns that they had illegally.chasfm11 wrote: Thu Aug 15, 2019 1:40 pm I don't want to mix up threads but the police shooter in the current Philadelphia story also had a rifle and a long rap sheet. Press writes like if we had a law stopping an honest citizen from having a gun this would immediately stop.
