Rear sight removal M&P

Post by Teamless »

I need to remove the rear sight on my M&P CORE in order to put a base plate to put a reflex optic on it.

Do you know of any (normally) locally purchasable tools to push the sight out?

Or do you know of any way to do it without a tool?

TIA

Polymer punch and brass hammer worked for me. Be careful when you push the rear sight out because of the spring and the safety plunger. You don’t want it flying across the room.

I borrowed a buddy's sight pusher.

On the CORE the striker block pin and spring are under the RMR. So be careful of that. The plunger is under the rear sight on a regular M&P.
