Beretta 9000S holster snag problem?

Post by daddySEAL »

I have a good friend about to get his CHL, who is considering buying a Beretta 9000S as his primary carry gun.

I personally have never seen anything but photos of that model, but they showed a pretty "over sized" front sight.

Does anyone carry one to know if that would be a holster snag issue in a quick draw self defense situation?

thank you

Actually meant to post this, but PM'ed daddySEAL instead.. oops!

I carried a 9000S for awhile as my carry gun, never noticed a snag issue. I'd say it would have more to do with the holster than the gun, but the front sight didn't seem particuarly large to me.

I'm actually probably selling my 9000S to a friend this week, and if so, will likely have a Tucker Texas Heritage that fits a 9000S for sale shortly afterwards. Let me know if your friend might be interested - in any case, it'll go on the forsale forum here.

thanks for the reply, Velocity.

did you not like the 9000s for some reason?
Is that why you are selling it?

I've read some comments that some of those pistols have ammo jam issues and therefor, some didn't feel comfortable using it for self defence.

Is it sensative to certain different types and grains of ammo?

I just bought a 9000 and might be interested in the holster.

Thanks, Friend Ross (mentor?) #1849887

thank you for the offer, but he bought a S&W M&P instead.

Kind of you though and we appreciate your offer.

Your babies looks like they need a new member - an M&P.

I agree.......OR a full size Glock to go with those leetle ones! Tough to beat a Glock 17.....everyone should have at least one!

Jbirds,

I know at least one M&P that beats a certain other Glock EVERYTIME.
