Remington TAC-14?
Is there another company making a similar shotgun?
It's fine if you disagree. I can't force you to be correct.

Re: Remington TAC-14?
Mossberg Shockwave was the first to market, ahead of Remington's version of it.

Shockwave and TAC14 are the 2 most popular of that type of shotgun. Shockwave is offered in .410, 20 and 12 gauge. I believe the TAC 14 is 12 gauge only. Prior to COVID the Shockwave was was easy to find while the TAC 14 was more elusive. Good luck finding either one. Remington and Mossburg were both shut down for 10 weeks. There are basically none of either shotgun in the distribution system right now.
Re: Remington TAC-14?
I had a shockwave. Since it’s a mini 590 it’s incredibly strong and just a solidly built firearm. I’ve never had any experience with the Remington version. The shockwave was a fun gun to shoot and could carry it anywhere. Even in some bags. They only thing I recommend is either stippling the raptor grip or putting a rubber sleeve on it. It was very slick and with heavy buckshot loads it made it hard to hold on to.

Yes, the shockwave. Thanks.

Re: Remington TAC-14?
If you do go with a Shockwave. Consider this cool laser from Crimson Trace. I improvised something similar by adding a rail and a laser unit made for pistols, but this looks like a better solution.
The big challenge with these guns is aiming them, IMHO, so a laser is extremely helpful.

Re: Remington TAC-14?
Yes, I think I'd want a laser with one of those. I saw an interesting segment on one of the firearms tv shows last week, one TAC14 with a laser and one of whatever the automatic model is without. Other variables as well but the laser seemed to help to some degree even in bright sunlight.
