Experience with Independence Ammunition?

Post by Mithras61 »

Does anyone have any experience with Independence Ammunition?

I ask because Natchez Shooters Supplies has 45ACP listed at $12.47/Box of 50 for 10 or more boxes, and that's the best price I've seen for ammo in a while, but I don't know anything about them.

I believe Independence brand is a low end product from CCI. You should be able to buy .45 ACP CCI Blazer Brass at Wal-Mart for $9.47 and you won't have to pay shipping but you will pay tax.

My Father had some trouble with it and swore not to buy it again, but to be fair.....he might have needed some lube on the gun.

What he had problems with was 380.

I buy Federal Blazer Brass in .45acp at Wallyworld in Amarillo at $9.47 all day long.
Good ammo and cheap.

Thanks, all.

Wally world up by me seems to have some of the highest prices around. Last time I checked, WWB was $26+ for 100 and there was no Blazer at all available. I may have to check some of the other locations in Spring/The Woodlands, but the one over on FM1960 just up the street from Shiloh Indoor Shooting Range had similar prices. In my immediate area, Academy seems to have the best ammo prices.

I have used it in the past in 9mm and maybe .40, no problems.
