lawyer anyone?

"Gun Law" has nothing to do with the attorneys knowledge. It has to do with their views on CHL, the 2A, and guns in general. Not all lawyers have a clients best interest in mind. Especially a closet gun grabber. Not knowing the lawyers views on guns would make me uncomfortable. I didn't make myself clear.

An attorney has a sworn duty to represent a client to the best of his ability. Criminal defense attorneys defend rapists and murderers who they know are guilty. The attorney does not approve of rape or murder.

On top of that, trial lawyers hate to lose. They will use every legal technique to defend their client.

If an attorney is so anti-RKBA that he cannot represent a client in a self-defense case, he has a duty to decline the case.

thanks for the input. i do understand the need to give the responding officer basic info but beyond that the need to be careful what you say. or maybe how you say it. legal representation would be at the very least a comfort.

yeah, "someone to slap me on the back of the head and tell me to shut up."

i looked at the concealed carry legal services web site and they seem to be exactly what i was looking for.

I'm not a member of PSC (too far for me) and I can give you the hard sell. The place is beautiful, and there is no better range as close to you. They have rifle and pistol bays, skeet, and IDPA.

The last I heard, membership also included liability insurance for CHL holders who have to defend themselves.

As for a Dallas area attorney, I'd call Gene A. Hamm; (972) 661-5114. He's very knowledgeable about firearms law and has been the driving force behind a firearms law seminar for attorneys for the last 3 years or so.

I understand that. I also know history. Lawyers of minorities willingly participated in their unjust imprisonment in the past. That doesn't even include poor whites and those railroaded for the gain of corrupt officials and such. I understand most lawyers, like LEOs, are honorable people. I also understand that Conservatives and those who hold conservative beliefs are the new group to be unjustly persecuted. Humans are capable of corruption and I will not put my trust in someone I know nothing about. That is why I like the idea of a database. If a reputable person on this forum recommends someone I would be more willing to employ that person. Some may think I am paranoid but, I have studied enough history to know I should be. That is just my opinion and I don't mean to imply that lawyers are not good people overall.
